Paragon Software Solutions, a Microsoft® Partner, announced today that the company successfully upgraded the Microsoft Dynamics® GP financial system for United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley. Paragon has been providing technical support for the organization’s financial management systems for more than 8 years. This recent upgrade delivered the latest capabilities in financial processes and automation for maximum operational efficiency, cost reduction and improving accuracy.

“Upgrading our GP system was absolutely necessary, but losing any time for an upgrade is always a challenge,” commented Domenic L. Pallaria, director, financial reporting at United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley. “Paragon scheduled the time with our IT department on fairly short notice, allowed 2-weeks for us to test and learn the new system and then performed the conversion over a weekend so our downtime was very minimal. Paragon also dealt with the few issues we had very quickly so it was a very smooth transition.”

Paragon is a Microsoft® Gold ERP Partner that delivers prompt and reliable technical support and financial management system upgrades, including remote and “after-hours” conversions that generally take place over a weekend for very minimal or no interruption to the client’s day-to-day operations. These types of upgrades also generally take less time than on-site installs.

One of the region’s largest nonprofits, United Way’s work ensures that children enter school ready to learn, youth stay engaged in school so they graduate with options for the future and parents attain financial stability. No other single organization has the scope, expertise and influence to bring together hundreds of human services agencies, government, businesses, private foundations and dedicated volunteers around a common vision of creating maximum impact and achieving long-lasting results.
